Pathways & High performance

From First Steps to Big Dreams

At iAM, it all starts with having a go. Whether someone is new to sport or already passionate about being active, we’re here to support every step of the journey - from social sessions to elite-level pathways like the Paralympics or Special Olympics.

We’re proud to play a part in helping Southlanders with disabilities discover their potential, grow their skills, and pursue their goals - whatever they may be.

How WE Help Create Pathways

Grassroots Development

Through events like the iAM Games and our regular programmes, we help young people explore a range of adapted sports. This helps uncover strengths, build confidence, and open doors to more structured development.

Community Support Matters

We know that behind every athlete is a team of supporters. iAM also works to build awareness, offer encouragement, and make sure our community is a safe and inclusive place to grow.

National Connections

We work closely with groups like:

These partnerships help ensure that anyone with the drive to go further gets access to the right support, coaching, and pathways.

Whether someone’s goal is simply to play, or to represent Aotearoa on the world stage, we’re here to help make that happen - without pressure, and with plenty of aroha.
